The Civil Aviation Academy provides a wide range of training for the aviation and associated industries. Courses are available throughout Australia and overseas as detailed below. By clicking on the course title more details will be available including costs and course schedules.
Dangerous Goods Training
All the Civil Aviation Academy Dangerous Goods Courses are Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved and meet all of the requirements of the current international and federal legislation. Courses are provided for shippers and freight forwarders, acceptors of dangerous goods, flight and cabin crew, load masters and baggage handlers and all associated employees groups. Tutorial and correspondence formats are available as required.
Crew Resource Management
The course is open to all operators, flight staff and students. Additionally the course is of value for engineering, administration and management. The course has also been presented to varying groups including Rural Fire Service, Insurance Investigators/Agents and Regulatory Bodies. Various tutorial formats (including company specific training) and correspondence formats are available.
Safety Management Systems
These courses are designed for Safety Managers/Officers or those personnel who will play a major role in their organisation’s Safety Management System such as Company Management or Base Officers. It is also ideal for those who wish to further understand, develop or review their own Safety Management System. A variety of courses are offered from one week training in the development of your own Safety Management System to short two day courses on specific elements of the Safety Management System. Company specific training courses and workshops can also be developed as required.
Principles & Methods of Instruction
Learning is not only the ability to change our behaviour as a result of experience but also the ability to learn the nature of a new problem and determine possible solutions. This Civil Aviation Academy course provides either one week or shorter courses where participants are instructed on the various teaching techniques, adult learning concepts and practical establishment of training notes and syllabi. This course covers all aspects of the current CASA required Principles and Methods of Instructions for Initial and Instructor Upgrades.
