Training Courses
Civil Aviation Academy Australasia currently offers the following Safety Management Systems courses:
Safety Management Systems Course
This course is designed for Safety Managers/Officers or those personnel who will play a major role in their organisation’s Safety Management System such as Company Management or Base Officers. It is also ideal for those who wish to further understand, develop or review their own Safety Management System. The five (5) day training includes the development and analysis of a Company specific Safety Management System. It allows for both the development of and amendment to a current system (if in place). During the program participants will be instructed on the development and implementation of their own organisation's Safety Management System.
Risk Management
This course is designed for Safety Managers/Officers or those who will play a major role in the analysis and development of a Company Risk Management Process – a mandatory section of CASA’s Safety Management Systems program. The course is conducted over a two (2) day period.
Auditing & Evaluation
This course is designed for Safety Managers/Officers or those personnel who will play a major role in the auditing and evaluation of any section or whole of the organisation’s Safety Management System. It will also assist those who conduct any form of audit or evaluation process within their workplace. The course is conducted over a two (2) day period.
Accident and Incident Investigator Courses
This course has been prepared to provide the participants with a methodical approach in order that they may be able to undertake a systemic safety investigation. It has been developed by the Safety Facilitators at the Civil Aviation Academy with the intention of also providing a resource to staff such that the organisation and the individual may benefit from a better understanding of the causes of accidents and incidents and the investigative analysis process. The course is conducted over a two (2) day period.
Manual Development & Auditing Services
As required by the individual organisation, safety management system manuals can be developed from scratch, reviewed for compliance and currency and audited by the Civil Aviation Academy. For more details click on the link below.
Customised Development of Documents and Manuals
This process includes the development and analysis of a Company specific Safety Management System. It allows for both the development of and amendment to a current system (if in place). Company specific training in the form of courses or workshops can also be tailored to suit individual needs.
